Angel Caregiver Academy and Your Requirements as a CHHA Candidate

Angel Caregiver Academy is an approved New Jersey Board of Nursing Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) Training School. Licensing requires the completion of the School's curriculum and successful completion of the CHHA Licensing exam. Candidates for CHHA licensing shall complete 60 hours of online instruction in combination with 16 hours of in-person clinical training.
Angel Caregiver Academy’s CHHA Candidates shall agree to a 4-week school schedule that includes 15 hours of online material per week (a total of 60 hours). In addition, completion of 16 hours of mandatory clinical skills training requires candidates to attend four weekly, in-person sessions at the offices of Angel Caregiver Academy. In-person instruction includes a review of the prior week’s online material, along with 4 hours of hands-on clinical skills training. Upon completion of the blended (online & in-person) curriculum, candidates sit for the NJ CHHA Licensing exam. Testing takes place at the offices of Angel Caregiver Academy.
The cost of tuition for the Angel Caregiver Academy blended curriculum and training is $250* (*after $149 rebate, please contact your local office for details). A $100 deposit is required to secure a seat in a class, and full payment is required prior to the start of classes. More information regarding class schedules and payment is available by calling either Angel Caregiver Academy location. Space is limited. There are No Refunds for any reason once classes begin.
Any and all costs related to the NJ Board of Nursing’s CHHA State licensing requirements are the responsibility of the candidate and are not included in the $250 price of tuition. A list of violations that may disqualify a candidate from Licensing can be found on the Board’s website at https://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/hhh/Pages/default.aspx or by calling 973-504-6430.
** CNA to CHHA Bridge Program now available. This course is an accelerated conversion class for licensed CNAs to receive a CHHA license. It includes 10 hours of online coursework and 2 hours of clinical training. No State testing is required. The course fee is $175 net (please contact your local office for details).

A Vibrant Learning Environment
Angel Caregiver Academy provides an enriched and diverse learning environment for our students. Founded in 2021, our CHHA Training School offers students comprehensive instruction and training to prepare them to confidently enter a career in Home Care. We offer students two convenient locations for instruction to earn their CHHA licensing. Students receive personalized instruction in a small-class setting. Our Registered Nurse Instructors are passionate, experienced and eager to pass on their knowledge to their students.
Angel Caregiver Academy is directly owned and operated by the Visiting Angels franchises of Matawan, NJ and Brick, NJ. All graduates of the program who receive their CHHA licenses are guaranteed offers of employment at either or both Visiting Angels locations.
